These sounds require more memory to be alocated for Maelstrom. They are taken from a series in Japan called Akira. Many of then are fun and add an interesting dimension to the game.

These sounds were taken from several versions of "Ambitious" by Wire. They were sampled at 11.127kHz, 8 bits, mono. The idea is that, as the game is played, a dynamic mix of the song is created. Cool, huh?

This is a file to replace the normal sound effects in Maelstrom with sounds from everyone's favorite cartoon, Animaniacs! Narf!

Remember that really cool sci-fi show on TV back in the late '70s called "Battlestar Galactica"? Well I do, and this is a patch for Maelstrom that changes the sounds and some of the screens into Battlestar Galactica sounds and screens.

It had to happen. It just had to. Yes! the Beavis and Butthead sound collection for Maelstrom. Hear your favorite "Huh - uhh - uhuh" in ways you never imagined.

Every sound has been replaced with a belch except one, and that one has been replaced with an angry dog sound. Don't ask, I don't know, it's very wacky.

This file is an altered version of the original Maelstrom sprites. In this recolored version, you defend a gold ship powered by a blue thruster flame against purple, red, and aqua asteroids. Explosions and other elements have also been recolored.

This is an unusual set of sprites that takes a little getting used to. But they are very well done and fit the computer motif quite well. Download these and shoot your floppies.

This file contains sounds from the British Sci-Fi TV show, Doctor Who. I saw Star Wars and Star Trek here so I thought, "Why not Doctor Who?". Well here it is.
