Ferazel's Wand Secrets Guide

Purple Haze

Purple Haze is a secret level that takes you into the minds behind the creation of Ferazel's Wand and gives you a lot of goodies for your trouble to find it in the first place. While this is a straightforward level, there are some strategies that I will recommend along the way. If you have any comments or problems with this guide, you can email me. I welcome all criticisms, good and bad.

You start out in Picture 1 to the left of a sign. Go forward and you'll see a dire warning in Picture 2 that I have obviously broken. Although I think I'm pretty safe since I don't have any children or home. Walk to the right and you'll come across some ropes that you can use to jump onto the ledge to the left. Go the left and you'll see a floating platform. This platform has spikes on it so try to jump directly on it and avoid the sides. Jump off and go to the large pool of Ziridium Brine.

In the middle of the Ziridium Brine pool (in Picture 5) there will be a mysterious figure who turns out to be Ben Spees, the creator of Ferazel's Wand. Gee, I never knew he was so maniacal. Go to the right to find another figure in Picture 6 and a Multicrystal. I recommend leaving the Multicrystal there because there is a boss level coming up pretty soon and you will need the Multicrystal there. Go up to the mysterious figure and find yourself meeting Andrew Welch. In Picture 7 you will be truly humbled by Welch's greatness. So why did he pick such a dopy figure? Now go a bit to the left and get on another Spiked Platform and go up to Picture 8.

Now go right and meet Jason in Picture 9. He babbles on about something which moves Ferazel but just leaves me confused. Now go left to find two more Multicrystals and a shallow Ziridium Brine pool. Once again I recommend that you leave the Multicrystals there for later use. After the Ziridium Brine, jump to Picture 10 and go left to Picture 11 to meet Andrew Hunter. I don't know who he is but from what he said, he designed the levels of Ferazel's Wand. Now go to the right and drop down to Picture 12. There is a Rez Necklace that brings you back to life after you die which will be very helpful in the next level.

Now go left and you'll meet Ben Spees in Picture 13. He made the music for Ferazel's Wand and seems to be very skilled as well. Now drop back down and you'll be back near the entrance. Now go right and pick up the remaining Gold Xichrons until you get to Picture 14. There are two Pentashield power ups here and I recommend that you leave them until you get to the boss level that's coming up. Jump over them and make your way to the exit.

Purple Haze is definitely very weird but a lot of fun. We got to meet the creators of Ferazel's Wand, got a lot of coins and Gold Xichrons and have a stash of helpful stuff for when we meet the next boss. I don't mean to rain on your parade but the next level, appropriately entitled the Labyrinth, is so big and so winding that it will put all of the previous levels to shame. Then we'll meet the Manditraki Wizard which will be the end of this side of the map. Until next time, if you have any ideas or opinions on this guide, email me and I'll be sure to respond.
